OUTCOME
The aluminum plate type heat exchanger facilitates for a minimum water carry over across the dryer, so the glass mould is free from any blowholes.

Excel Glass is one of the premier soda lime glass container ware manufacturing concerns in India and has its works nestled in the backwater lagoons of midtown Alleppey on N.H. 47, 55 KM South of Cochin in Kerala.

REQUIREMENT
Excel Glass is a leading glass manufacturer in India. The compressed air is used for blow molding of glass. The air that goes into the mould should be pure, free from any moisture content and dust of course. This results in excellent quality of glass, glass with no blowholes or dust in the final product. Compressed air at higher flow-rate and relatively lower pressures of 3 bar (g) is what used for this application. The earlier mode of moisture removal was by Shell and Tube type dryer. A shell and tube type dryer results in a pressure drop of 0.2 bar across the dryer, this results in additional power losses. Apart from this, these types of dryers are prone to frequent refrigerant leaks and moisture carry over during operation.

SOLUTION
SANPAR suggested Excel Glass to replace the shell and tube type Dryer by SANPAR make XEROS series Dryer. The XEROS series supplied to Excel has the following features. Compact Aluminum plate type heat exchangers with a pressure drop of 0.1 bar across the dryer. The dryer is equipped with a compact brazed plate type Condensor.
THE SANPAR MAKE REFRIGERATED DRYER EXECUTED TO M/S EXCEL GLASS IS THE LARGEST BY AN INDIAN MANUFACTURER.
